Environmental & sustainability reporting

The Deloitte Sustainability Services team understands the varied and complex drivers of sustainability for the Real Estate sector and have developed a number of product and services tailored to meet the specific market demands of individual organisations. Our multi discipline team contains real estate, energy and carbon management, water, health and safety and assurance experts with the capacity to deliver a range of combined services which capitalise on our internal expertise but also have the ability to draw upon and compliment firm wide tax, corporate finance, audit and consultancy competencies where appropriate.

The market drivers of sustainability such as climate change, commodity stress and resource scarcity, as well as increased regulatory transparency and changing consumer attitudes mean that operating in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner is one of the most urgent challenges facing companies today. To mitigate these challenges we have seen leading companies integrate sustainability models into their core business strategies. When done robustly such strategic realignments can identify cost savings, build brand, promote product and service innovation and capture market share. In order to integrate sustainability successfully, it is essential for businesses to first understand and then respond to key sustainability issues, both at a Group level but also in different businesses and markets to ensure business continuity and long-term success.
